In this particular video the camera shots are very important and vital. The fact that the camera keeps pulling and cutting away from different characters whilst people are speaking builds tension and it also shows the power dynamics between the characters. In my movie I will try to use this type of technique to keep the audience hooked and interested. By using this technique I will then build tension between the different characters in my movie and I will also show the power dynamics between my characters. Also the instant cutting away of scenes creates some sort of curiosity for the viewers and it makes them want to watch on and find out whats going to happen next.
Camera shots that we picked out from The Godfather
Medium Close Up Shot: The Godfather used this shot well because by using this shot we are able to see Don Corleone's facial expression and we are able to see his body language at the same time. This camera shot could be relevant for our film, because we need to be able to see every facial expression especially during and after the murder scene.
Over The Shoulder Shot: The Godfather use this shot to show the different turn taking within the characters. We will be using this camera shot in our film to show the different variation of camera shot in our film. We will also be using this shot to show the different turn taking between characters.
High Angle Shot: The godfather used this shot to show who has power so in our film we will also use this shot for that exact same reason.
